Change FavICON in BLOG

Adding FAVICON in Blog

Many Blogger forgot or did not change the view of Favicon in their own Blog.
Favicon is a small icon that appears in every left corner of the Address Bar and Tab.
See figure 1.


If a blog does not have it then

it will be filled with default Blogger's Favicon icons, such as B symbol. The appearance make us bored and can not become an image of our blog.

For that we need to create a file icon first. Find pictures or letters, it's up to you, it will be the image of your blog.
The extension file must be Ico, Gif or Png. The size of the icons is 16 x 16 pixels up to a maximum of 32 x 32 pixels.
Generally, the size of 24 x 24 pixels is sufficient, let see my icon's image.
Create an icon can use third party program such as Photoshop and Snagit.
Then the icon must to be upload first to a free sites such as Photobucket, Google pages, etc. which support Hot Linking and file management.

Save and copy the link address of the upload's file.

Now how to enter to HTML Blog as follows :
(Go to Layout ==> Edit HTML)
Backup your template first, don't check expand widget template.
1. Find the following code and enter additional scripts exactly below.

Change http://Your_File_Ico_Upload_Link.Photobucket.com/albums/BLogIcon.gif with any URL you got from uploading to a Hotlink site before.

2. When our HTML blog were often amended or changed so much than we can use alternatives, as figure 3 below.

3. For file with extension *Ico can use the example no.1 directly.
Meanwhile, for file with extension Gif or PNG must change the ending script like this: 'image / x-icon' to 'image/gif' or 'image/png'

Thats the tips to customize your icon's blog and from now on you get a special icon even if you do not realize.
